Bio

Kylie Naylor, M.A., CCC-SLP, RSLP (RASP) kylie@sweet-talkers.ca Kylie has a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Washington University and completed her undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Care Counseling at the University of the Fraser Valley. She has received her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in both the USA and Canada (and she has worked in both countries!). She is a Registered Autism Service Provider (RASP). Her interests are diverse, but her passion is working with children who have been diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Kylie is trained and certified in Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk, an early intervention program that targets parent training in order to increase parent involvement and carryover of home-based programs for young children with language delay. She is also trained in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and completed a workshop and online training in Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP). Kylie has implemented augmentative communication strategies such as PECS and LAMP for several children and was paramount in arranging LAMP’s first Canadian workshop with her previous employer. She is excited to be able to take her job on the road! She sees the value of working with families in their homes and communities, providing therapy services that benefit each family’s unique set of strengths and needs.
