Bio

Mindy graduated from the University of Western Washington in Bellingham, WA in 2013 with her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Since then she has been working in the public healthcare system within the Fraser Valley. Mindy has a passion for working with the adult population, with focus in acquired communication deficits, neurological dysphagia, voice therapy and transgender/non-binary vocal transformation. Mindy is committed to extending her practice into the private sector with the intention of providing services not accessible within the public health system. She is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment – LOUD (LSVT LOUD) program and excitedly offers this intensive treatment to people who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease within the Fraser Valley. Mindy is a trans ally and fosters a practice that is inclusive of all gender and cultural presentations.

Mindy holds various dysphagia-related advanced competencies. Working with children to help foster language skills, target dysfluencies and improve articulation allows her to be young at heart. Mindy is committed to extending her practice into the private sector with the intention of providing services not accessible within the public health system. Mindy is a trans ally and fosters a practice that is inclusive of all gender and cultural presentations. When not pursuing her career, you can find Mindy with her friends and family. She enjoys being surrounded by nature, practicing yoga and meditation, paddling on local lakes and spending time splashing in puddles and searching for bugs with her daughter.
