Bio
Shari has been working as a speech-language pathologist since 1994. She specializes in the communication difficulties of adults and children who have neurological damage, developmental delays/disorders, psychiatric conditions, or autism. She also has extensive experience working in the areas of foreign accent reduction, swallowing disorders, and cognitive-language impairments. Shari has been recognized as an expert in acquired communication and swallowing disorders. She enjoys doing medical-legal evaluations, and will frequently travel within British Columbia and Alberta. Shari is a Clinical Educator and Instructor at the University of British Columbia. She is also on the Registry of Autism Service Providers, with designations as a speech-language pathologist and behaviour consultant. Shari's team at Advantage SLP provides a wide variety of pediatric and adult speech-language pathology services across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Advantage SLP is a large speech-language pathology practice that provides services in a variety of settings: daycares, schools, facilities, private homes, hospitals and private clinics. Our therapists will travel all across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, or there is an option for some clinic-based sessions in Richmond. Travel costs are additional are vary according to client location. We are available to provide teletherapy across the province. Shari provides services in English and French.
