Speech and Hearing BC Conference on October 22 and 23 in Whistler, BC
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Our Provincial Health Officer has issued new health orders (August 23) which affect indoor gatherings in BC. In compliance with the orders relevant to our event, we require all participants (attendees, exhibitors, presenters etc.) at the conference to be doubly vaccinated at least 7 days prior to October 22, 2021. The Hilton Whistler Hotel and/or Speech and Hearing BC will also require conference participants to provide confirmation of their double vaccination status before entering the conference area.
Speech and Hearing BC’s annual conference provides speech-language pathologists and audiologists with continuing education and networking opportunities. We book high-quality, renowned speakers and quality exhibitors yet offer a conference rate within the budget of many of our members or their employers. This conference is a key activity of the Association.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) occurs during the conference. At this important meeting, the Association President presents a report about the current state of the Association, including ongoing initiatives and activities of the past year. Financial information is shared with members. The AGM provides the important opportunity for members to nominate and vote for members for open seats on the Provincial Council.
