Bio

I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and I currently live in the Tri-cities. I enjoy crocheting, hiking and exploring beautiful BC with my husband, 2 boys and dog, Lucy. I completed my Bachelor's of Science in Biology at the University of British Columbia and my Master's of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at Northwestern University in Chicago. I am certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) and Speech and Hearing BC. I am on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) and registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHHPBC). I am the current Director of Public Education for Speech and Hearing BC (formerly BCASLPA). I have worked with children with special needs since 2005. I have experience as a behaviour interventionist and has worked as an SLP in both the public and private sectors. As a SLP, I am very passionate about working with children to develop their fullest communication potential and has special interests in augmentative and alternative communication, bilingual language development, feeding disorders and executive functioning.
