My passion is working with clients and their families to help restore communication skills, because I believe the ability to communicate is the most fundamental thing that connects people with the world around us. I love having the opportunity to meet such a diverse range of people and create therapy programs for each of them. Seeing the effect that speech-language therapy can have in helping people re-engage in everyday life and reconnect with their loved ones is amazing! Working many years in both public and private practice (including one of BC's top rehabilitation hospitals) gives me unique insight into the journey that clients and loved ones take in their recovery. I work in the area of adult therapy, which includes stroke/acquired brain injury rehabilitation (including aphasia therapy), swallowing rehabilitation, and voice therapy (including therapy for Parkinson's). I take ICBC clients for rehabilitation following motor vehicle accidents. Therapy services can be provided in English and Punjabi. I am a Clinical Instructor with UBC and actively involved in supervision of student clinical practicums.
