Bio

Hi, I’m Csaba (pronounced chah-bah). I was educated at ELTE in Budapest and at University College London, in England. Following my MSc degree I completed a PhD course also at UCL, in which my research focus was speech perception and auditory training in developmental language disorder. It is my eager interest in languages, linguistics and the biological basis of communication that led me to speech-language pathology, a field about which my keen curiosity has not dwindled ever since I received my first degree in Budapest in 2003. The majority of my work has been in schools or clinics with the school-age population, but I also have some experience with pre-school children. My main interest within speech-language pathology for many years has been speech disorders and interventions, language impairment and speech perception, which also constituted the bulk of my research work. I have extensively worked with children on the autism spectrum and several other conditions that have an element of communication difficulty. After 10 years of living, working and studying in the UK I moved to BC in 2014 to continue my clinical work.
