She has extensive experience in the areas of early language and early social skills (late talkers, not talking yet/not talking very much, skills that come before talking), speech sound delays (substituting or dropping sounds) including Apraxia of Speech, sentence structure and grammar, understanding what others are saying and following directions, augmentative and alternative communication (using pictures or iPads to support communication), Additional training and certifications in Apraxia of Speech, Social Thinking, Hanen (It Takes Two, More Than Words, Talkability, and Target Word), Cleft Palate, Advanced training in feeding and swallowing. Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (on RASP list) . Available for travel, video sessions, as well as training of professionals in underserviced areas of BC.
