Sasha is a Vancouver, British Columbia based speech-language pathologist with over 12 years of experience working exclusively with adult clients. She has served as a Speech-Language and Audiology Canada board member and worked across Canada in professionally competitive roles at hospitals, adult rehabilitation programs and in community settings. Sasha has worked as a consultant for communication education programs, a provincial augmentative and alternative communication service at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, and has led dementia strategies in Northern BC and in the UK. Presently, Sasha also works for Northern Health as a consultant speech-language pathologist. Sasha is the sole proprietor of My Virtual SLP. She started this telepractice in March, 2020 to meet the needs of clients who want similar outcomes of seeing a highly experienced speech-language pathologist in person but can’t due to COVID-19 or in normal circumstances, don’t have the ability, time or desire to travel to see one. Sasha is an expert at collaborating with clients to target areas that will maximally impact function. Goals are always set based on client’s wishes and evidence-based practices in therapy. Sasha is a BC native and has an MSc. Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta. She is a BC registered speech-language pathologist, certified by Speech-Language and Audiology Canada.
